Little Kickers

Great Falls’ Little Kickers Soccer program is designed specifically for the very young player – 3 and 4 year olds (and pre-Kindergarden 5s). The philosophy of our program can be summed up in one word - FUN!

We have created a safe and positive environment where kids can learn the game of soccer through playful training techniques and team bonding activities. Under the direction of our training providers, HI-Performance Soccer Academy, we have designed a program that encompasses the use of "small-sided play" and age-appropriate training. The combination of these methods will be the foundation to good habits with the ball. Our goal is to provide a non-threatening fun environment where very young players can begin to be comfortable running with a ball; comfortable with some ‘team’ games using a soccer ball, and have fun, building an early interest in playing soccer.

All Little Kickers Sessions are held on either Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesdays (two sessions per week). There are two time slots available – 2:00-3:00 and 3:45-4:45. The registration system will ask all players to select the day and time when registering. All Little Kickers sessions are held at Lockmeade Field (see Field listing for directions), thus in a local Great Falls neighborhood protected from traffic. All sessions are run by professional soccer trainers and coaches from HI-Performance Soccer Academy.

In the Spring season of each year the older Little Kickers (those that will start Kindergarden in the upcoming Fall session and will thus graduate to our U6 soccer program) will also have the opportunity to participate in two or three Saturdays of "game" play!!

All Little Kicker’s must wear a Great Falls jersey, soccer socks, and soccer cleats. All players must bring a ball (#3) to each practice, and should always bring a water bottle. The jersey may be ordered the first season and can be re-used for additional seasons. A ‘Little Kickers Kit’ is also available and consists of shorts, jersey and socks. Equipment (cleats, shin guards) may be purchased at Sterling Soccer (Route 7 Shopper's location) or any sporting goods shop.

Program fees include professional training (eight weeks of two sessions a week), a trophy/medal and an ending day celebration activity.
