Great Falls Soccer Announces TRAVEL TRYOUTS for all Great Falls teams for the 2012-2013 Seasonal Year! Visit the Tryout listings for each time to determine the dates/times and locations for each age group. The first tryouts will be for our Rising U9 teams:

GFSC Rising U9 Travel Tryout Information:
Check this site frequently for information on the rising U9 Travel Tryouts for players born on or after August 1, 2003. Registration will be completed at the field so make sure each child arrives with an adult to provide necessary information.

Tryout Dates, Time and Location for U9 BOYS and GIRLS:

Sunday May 13^th– 6pm-7:30pm (Lockmeade Park)
Sunday May 20^th – 6pm-7:30pm (Lockmeade Park)
Sunday June 10^th – 6pm-7:30pm (Lockmeade Park)
Rain Date: Friday June 15^th– 6pm-7:30pm (Lockmeade Park)

*All Players should wear a plain white T-Shirt (undershirt) to tryouts so that we can write a tryout number in permanent marker on the shirt. This numbered shirt should stay with them during the whole tryout process.

Spring Soccer - Raffle

We are halfway through the spring 2012 season and the GFSC board, coaches, and managers are starting to make preparation for our annual end of season celebration and picnic.

In addition to the picnic plans, we would like to renew a vital fund raising event in support of our players, the GFSC annual raffle. This year it seems more than most, GFSC has experienced higher costs in providing our community youth the best possible playing conditions. Expenses to the club including Fairfax County fees, field maintenance, net replacement are all rising dramatically.

We have some great prizes to give away this year including iPads and DC United Soccer Club sports memorabilia.

Tickets will cost $25 each. We will distribute blocks of tickets to each GFSC coach and manager over the next few days. The raffle drawing will be held at the June end of season picnic. Cash and checks are acceptable payment. Your purchase is tax deductible. If you don't want to buy raffle tickets but would like to help us out, please donate now by clicking the red button above.

Little Kickers...

Great Falls’ Little Kickers Soccer program is designed specifically for the very young player – 3 and 4 year olds (and pre-Kindergarten 5s). The philosophy of our program can be summed up in one word – FUN!

New to our Program?

Great Falls Soccer offers a variety of programs located in Reston and Great Falls, VA for children ages three through 18, including Little Kickers for ages 3-4, Recreational (House andSuburbanFriendship) teams for players 5-16, highly competitive Travel teams playing in multiple local leagues, and an Adult League.

Great Falls Soccer is the only local club where recreational teams have professional soccer trainers working with volunteer coaches to help develop players. Use the links to the left to learn more about who we are and where we play.

Try Travel for Competitive Soccer

If you are interested in our Travel teams, note that they are fully coached by professional coaches. Try us out with our Try Us and Love Us program. Our travel teams conduct open training sessions year round that are available to children from the U9 through U19 age groups.We welcome recreational and travel players from other leagues and players who have just moved to the area to try our travel program out. Great Falls Soccer Game Day Rules

Promote good sportsmanship among players, parents and coaches
Help pick up trash after all games and practices
Keep all players on public field property and not in neighboring yards
Do not allow players to climb or hang from goals

Inclement Weather Policy

Coaches shall not have their teams play games, practice or be on the fields during a lightning storm or when lightning is occurring.
During a lightning storm, all children must vacate the fields and be appropriately sheltered for protection in automobiles or other appropriate sites.
Teams may not resume play until one half hour after the last lightning sighting.
